And one more
I'd forgotten this. The azaleas have started to really bloom, and unfortunately, they're blooming out fast. This bush full, taken this past Tuesday, is already pretty much gone. Just another reminder of how fleeting beauty can be in life.
This was taken with the Olympus E-P2 and the M.Zuiko 14-42mm kit lens. A lot of people turn their noses up at kit lenses, but given the right set of circumstances, the right subject and lighting, and the right idea, kit lenses can produce remarkable images. The high contrast color was added in post processing with Lightroom 3.3 in order to help pick out the stamens and the subtle darker spots on each flower. The green in the leaves were also enhanced a bit as well, to provide a little interesting color contrast.
