I'm doing self portraits for the next few days because that's the coming week's theme in my Flickr group. I don't like doing self portraits all that much because I look old, wrinkled, balding with wild eyelashes; just generally ugly. But I can offset some of that ugliness by hiding it behind a camera.

The camera. There's something seductive about the E-P2, dressed in subtle black tones, with the big glass element of the lens out in front. And that lens - an OM-System Zuiko Auto-S 50mm f/1.4. Here it looks like it's soaking up all the available light, pulling it in to make the corners and edges dark.

The combination of the sleek hardware combined with the dramatic, dark lighting and the VF-2 electronic viewfinder covering one eye makes me look stylishly Borgish. Without all the spandex. Which is good, considering how spandex looks absolutely horrid on the overweight.

Milestone

This is my 700th post. Pushing on to an even 1,000.
