Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park

All of use went out to Maclay Gardens this afternoon. This wasn't my first time at Maclay's but it was the first time to visit while it was in bloom. My daughter and I carried our cameras while my wife just wanted to enjoy the gardens. The weather had turned cloudy and there was a threat of rain. While we were there we were hit by several light showers, but nothing strong enough to run us off.

The light was low and soft and toned the greens of spring down a bit, helping to make all the colors more saturated. A suffuse glow seemed to cover everything. Walking through the gardens during this time was balm for the soul. I'm going to stop writing and let the photos speak for themselves.
