Pinching #1500 Matthew

This is, so far, my most favorite bestest photograph of Matthew's that Matthew Robertson has created for his five thousand photos. If you sit back the proper distance from the photograph the art patron on the right becomes an almost abstract far eastern-style dry brush painting at the edge.

Who said black and white is dead?

Cool beans.

  1. Thanks, Bill, and you're welcome to it.

I had some practice for this photo; I was actually pinching one of my own. Both are of monochrome works of abstract expressionist painters and taken in museums, one in New York's MoMA with black and white film, this one in Toronto's Art Gallery of Ontario with the TS3 set to B&W mode.

To give credit where it's due, the painting is Franz Kline's White Forms, which is an amazing work.
