Built-in means smaller than EVF2 and cheaper.MarcPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08123370651774088329noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12906299.post-53318351340717471982011-09-22T01:07:45.946-04:002011-09-22T01:07:45.946-04:00Make an Olympus E-P3 with a built in EVF like the ...Make an Olympus E-P3 with a built in EVF like the upcoming NEX7 and I will have found heaven (well close enough). I am drooling over that new Sony but only as to the body style with the EVF. I am a micro 4/3 convert because of the compactness of the lenses along with the ability to use just about any legacy lens.Thomas Hillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16605898496482217158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12906299.post-10610830107147271642011-09-21T00:52:47.484-04:002011-09-21T00:52:47.484-04:00Hi Bill. I can definitively say that the NEX-5 has better high ISO performance than the Olympus. Maybe 1 1/2 or so. And at least from online test results the NEX-5n high ISO ability looks better than the 5's, at least in terms of the JPEG processing.

That said the micro 4/3 currently has much better lenses and the lens selection is also a lot better than Sony's. I also like the exposure and color on the Olympus E-PL1 over the Sony NEX-5.

My ideal camera would be a blending of the two.atmtxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10013750486521033726noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12906299.post-32346393689478509332011-09-21T00:11:27.599-04:002011-09-21T00:11:27.599-04:00Yeah...I am 38 yrs old and I insist that I LOL at ...Yeah...I am 38 yrs old and I insist that I LOL at the MILF acronym vs. EVIL.

Great write up as always Bill. And you are correct, they've done just about everything right, including an awesome marketing campaign! The E-PM1 could be, finally, the camera that gets Americans interested in mirrorless cameras as a whole, rather than there current unique little niche, that is often ignored as folks zoom after 5D's and D700's.

They've really done a good job this time.Pseudo Boethiushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01923426980093047352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12906299.post-63246956126452607402011-09-20T23:26:45.680-04:002011-09-20T23:26:45.680-04:00Today Olympus says "pack small, shoot big,&qu...Today Olympus says "pack small, shoot big," while Nikon launches a site that simply says "I am coming".

It sounds like MILF cameras are where the action is.Matthew Robertsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04134787874718415563noreply@blogger.com
